Groom Law Group is seeking a mid to senior level attorney with experience representing institutional investors to join our Fiduciary practice group as an associate or counsel. Responsibilities The position focuses primarily on advising institutional benefit plan investors and reviewing/negotiating key plan service provider arrangements. An ideal candidate will have experience working on investment deals involving different asset classes/strategies. Candidates should be familiar with private funds, investment management agreements, collective investment trusts, mutual fund participation agreements, and Title I of ERISA, including key prohibited transaction exemptions (e.g., QPAM,408(b)(17), 408(b)(8)). Familiarity reviewing and negotiating plan service provider agreements (e.g., trust/custodial and recordkeeping agreements) is a plus. Qualifications Superior academic credentials, excellent analytical skills, ability to negotiate with fund and service provider counsel and strong writing skills are essential. Candidates with 4+ years of relevant experience, an interest in ERISA, and experience in securities and banking law are encouraged to submit their resumes.
