We are seeking bright, ambitious associates with 1-3 years’ post qualification experience to join a busy, rapidly growing team within a leading international law firm. The role We are recruiting for associates to join the team led by partner Tim Searle. Tim’s practice has an international focus and includes commercial advice and complex high-value litigation across a range of sectors. The team Tim and his team advise and represent multi-national corporations, insurance and reinsurance companies, Lloyd’s underwriters and financial institutions in relation to commercial issues and disputes and insurance coverage issues. The team specialises in disputes involving property damage, professional negligence, claims again directors and officers and commercial / contractual disputes across a range of sectors including construction, engineering, mining & resources, energy, financial services and other professional services, telecommunications and information technology, production and manufacturing and hospitality and entertainment. About you We are seeking bright, ambitious, enthusiastic associates with a strong background in disputes or commercial practice. Experience working in private practice is essential. To apply you will need to have 1-3 years’ post qualification experience and be able to demonstrate a record of strong performance throughout your career. About you We are keen to speak with Associate level lawyers who have an established or emerging background in disputes or commercial practice, and experience working in private practice together with: 1-3 years PQE Keen interest in the teams work which handles complex commercial disputes and insurance coverage and defence matters, issues involving professional indemnity, D&O, public and products liability, property damage, business interruption and construction insurance policies Prior experience working on litigation matters within the Supreme and Federal Courts, and a commitment to technical excellence Excellent academic credentials, self-driven with excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organisational skills to provide timely responses to team and internal/external clients Strong time management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively The ability to work co-operatively and collaboratively in a team environment A keen interest in your own professional development The ability to thrive in a high performing team environment.
