As part of Arnold & Porter’s Foreign Attorney Program, our Washington, DC and New York offices are seeking foreign attorneys with bilingual fluency in English and Spanish or Korean, and strong written skills in both languages, to work with the International Arbitration/Trade and Corporate groups in a temporary position for a term of approximately six months. Our arbitration practice features cases before ICSID, the ICC, and other arbitral forms. Our trade practice advises corporations, governments, trade associations, and nongovernmental organizations on the full range of legal issues encompassing international trade regulation and disputes. Our corporate practice advises corporations, governments, and multilateral and bilateral agencies on cross-border M&A, financing and capital market transactions. Qualified applicants must have, at a minimum, a law degree-equivalent at a university in the foreign attorney’s home country, bar membership in the foreign attorney’s home country, and preferably also an LLM degree from an ABA accredited US law school (or current enrollment in such an LLM program). Finally, all applicants should have excellent professional and academic credentials and references.
