Associate Attorney Hybrid Remote/In-Office – Insurance Defense (MI) in our Southfield, MI office with a minimum of 2 years’ litigation experience. The primary focus will be on general insurance defense matters (premises liability, property damage, fire loss, etc.) and first- and third-party automobile negligence. The attorney holding this position will be responsible for managing case files, taking and defending depositions, legal research, preparing legal documents, investigating facts, and attending hearings, depositions, mediations and trials. This is a hybrid position, with a flexible mixture of remote and intermittent in-office attendance. Qualified candidates must have strong academic credentials, excellent writing and research skills, and proven ability to analyze sophisticated and complex factual and legal issues. They need to be a self-starter with the ability to work independently on smaller matters, but also within a team structure on larger ones. Courtroom, motion, and deposition experience preferred.
