Position Summary Our San Diego office has an opportunity for an Associate with 3+ years of employment litigation and class action experience to join the firm’s expanding practice as a traditional associate and take on an important role in litigation with direct contact with client representative and opposing counsel. Duties include, but are not limited to, performing legal research; drafting of legal memoranda, motions and pleadings; attending court conferences; handling discovery-related activities and investigations; and drafting of position statements and dispositive motions. We provide our associates with multiple writing, publishing and speaking opportunities as well as access to robust professional development training programs. Requirements Juris Doctor. Qualified candidates must be and remain licensed to practice law and in good standing in California. During employment, must meet requirements for continuing licensure for law practice. Candidates must have 3+ years of California employment litigation and class action experience either in-house or at a law firm. Outstanding academic record (top 25% of law school class). Excellent analytical and writing skills are required. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Associates are expected to (a) provide first-rate written, analytical work; (b) be highly attuned to the needs, pressures and work styles of our senior litigators; and (c) contribute to a respectful, collegial office environment. Benefits In accordance with California’s amended labor code as stated in Senate Bill 1162, the expected salary range for this California position is between $160,000 and $210,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. This position qualifies for the benefits below.
