The Litigation Center represents the voice of the business community as amicus curiae and as a party to litigation. We file over 200 amicus briefs in state and federal courts each year. We will empower you to lead, develop deep expertise, and find new approaches to solving the toughest challenges. <br> <br> <b>POSITION OVERVIEW:</b> <br> Serve as in-house counsel at the U.S. Chamber Litigation Center, managing a wide range of litigation and developing litigation strategies to advance public policy goals. <br> <br> <b>RESPONSIBILITIES:</b> <br> <ul> <li>Handle amicus and regulatory litigation in the U.S. Supreme Court and in other federal and state courts</li> <li>Review and analyze cases for potential involvement</li> <li>Solicit views of stakeholders</li> <li>Develop case strategy</li> <li>Retain and supervise outside counsel</li> <li>Review legal briefs; coordinate litigation with counsel of member companies, other trade associations, and state and local chambers</li> <li>Plan moot courts and member events</li> <li>Participate in member briefings and fundraising meetings</li> </ul> <b>REQUIREMENTS:</b> <br> <ul> <li>Juris Doctor degree with strong academic performance during law school</li> <li>3+ years’ experience in trial and appellate litigation matters</li> <li>Excellent client service</li> <li>Superb legal research and analytical skills</li> <li>Outstanding verbal and written communications skills and ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders</li> <li>Federal judicial clerkship preferred</li> <li>Federal government experience a plus</li> <li>Regulatory litigation experience a plus</li> </ul> Salary commensurate with experience. <br>We recruit, employ, train, compensate, and promote without regard to race, religion, creed, color, national origin, age, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, veteran status, or any other basis protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.
