<div id="jobDescriptionText" class="jobsearch-jobDescriptionText" dir="ltr"><div> Overview: <div> <b> Position Summary</b> </div> <div> AutoNation is actively seeking a Senior Corporate Counsel who will be responsible for managing complex corporate and commercial real estate transactions for the Company and its subsidiaries. The ideal candidate for this role would have 5+ years of transactional experience and will manage a wide variety of legal transactions in a fast-paced corporate environment. This position will require drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide variety of legal documents as well as performing due diligence and title review, assisting with corporate acquisitions, identifying legal risks, and providing legal support for general corporate matters. </div> <div> <br> </div> <div> <b>Job Responsibilities</b> </div> <div> This attorney will play a leading role in drafting, negotiating, and providing transactional assistance to internal clients. </div> <ul> <li>Strong preference for attorney with experience drafting and reviewing commercial real estate documents such as letters of intent, leases, ground leases, purchase and sale agreements, deeds, and other commercial real estate documents.</li> <li> Manage, draft, and negotiate a wide range of M&amp;A transactional documents including NDAs, letters of intent, closing documents and similar agreements.</li> <li> Ability to identify potentially material legal and business issues to senior leadership.</li> <li> Deliver timely and quality legal services to internal clients with minimal supervision.</li> <li> Handle other matters as assigned by the Company’s Vice President, Corporate Law and Assistant Secretary.</li> </ul> <div></div> <div> <b><br> Qualifications</b> </div> <ul> <li> Law degree from an ABA accredited law school.</li> <li> Admission in good standing to any US state bar.</li> <li> Minimum of 5 years of job experience as an attorney with transactional experience, with a specific focus on commercial real estate matters preferred.</li> <li> Experience practicing at a nationally-recognized law firm or prior in-house experience is preferred. </li> <li>Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize and work independently.</li> </ul> </div></div>
