Meta is seeking a highly motivated attorney for its Central Investigations &amp; Cybersecurity team. The successful candidate will work with investigative teams to identify and prevent harm while protecting the rights, privacy, and safety of our users. The successful candidate will also work with partnering teams to design and implement innovative solutions to integrity and security challenges. This is an opportunity to work on novel and high-profile issues in a fast-paced environment.This position requires global travel, as well as work during evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary to support urgent matters and to collaborate with our employees throughout the world. <br> <br> <br> <b>Associate General Counsel, Cybersecurity Law and Investigations Responsibilities: </b><br> <ul> <li>Provide legal counsel to Facebook's security and integrity teams during investigations and incident response, as well as regarding information sharing efforts</li> <li> Provide support and legal counsel during investigations to ensure they are conducted and documented appropriately to minimize risks and protect users' privacy</li> <li> Work with business and engineering teams to design and implement innovative privacy and security solutions, particularly those related to integrity and investigations</li> <li> Advise on user data disclosure and security issues in the United States and more broadly</li> <li> Investigate matters relating to on-platform abuse, including terrorism, child safety, and other threats</li> <li> Collaborate with and support business partners on user data and safety matters</li> <li> Work with integrity teams to conduct after-action reviews and remediate security risks</li> </ul> <br> <br> <br> <b>Minimum Qualifications:</b><br> <ul> <li> J.D. (or foreign equivalent) with membership in at least one U.S. state bar</li> <li> 5+ years of experience as a practicing attorney at a law firm and/or in-house.</li> <li> Experience advising on data protection, privacy, or matters involving the Stored Communications Act</li> <li> Experience in drafting and/or executing legal documents</li> <li> Experience giving presentations to stakeholders</li> <li> Prior experience litigating criminal cases and/or advising on matters involving engagement with law enforcement agencies</li> </ul> <br> <br> <br> <b>Preferred Qualifications:</b><br> <ul> <li> Experience as a prosecutor investigating national security matters, child safety, terrorism, or other serious crimes</li> <li> Experience in crisis management</li> <li> Technical knowledge related to online investigations</li> <li> Experience working on policy issues related to technical investigations, online abuse, and/or privacy</li> <li> Fluency in multiple languages</li> </ul> <br> <br> <br> <b>About Meta:</b><br> Meta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses.
