You may also work on developing regulations and guidance to implement directives contained in federal consumer financial laws.</p> <div> <h4 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Responsibilities</b></h4> <p>As an Attorney-Adviser (Counsel Regulations), you will:</p> Provide technical interpretation of consumer credit and financial services laws, regulations, and rules to CFPB's Enforcement Division as well as other internal offices and divisions and to external stakeholders <ul> <li>.</li> Advise management on key issues, coordinate matters within the office and with other divisions, and formulate legal and policy recommendations <li>.</li> Use subject matter expertise and legal experience to provide interpretive regulatory guidance to internal and external stakeholders <li>.</li> Take substantive and proactive responsibility as needed for complex rulemaking projects, such as major regulatory amendments or implementing legislation in one or more areas of consumer financial services.
