Senior Legal Counsel position available (New York, NY)
</div>
<ul>
<li>Coordinate activities to ensure compliance with ethical and regulatory standards;</li>
<li>Work in collaboration with Regional Commercial Legal Teams and the Ethics and Compliance functions to emphasize and foster a culture of integrity and compliance;</li>
<li>Lead negotiations with customers on Software as a Service (SaaS) and on-premises licensing agreements and support the sales function on all matters relating to customers and prospects;</li>
<li>Review and advise the company with regard to privacy issues;</li>
<li>Provide compliance support to global program teams such as Partner Programs, Incentives, and Channel Compliance; route-to-market business owners such as Distribution, OEM, Cloud Provider, and Resell; Channel sales; and, the worldwide Commercial legal team;</li>
<li>Provide guidance and draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of complex commercial agreements with Channel partners and distributors involving the sale of software licenses, hardware, and cloud services;</li>
<li>Act as a trusted advisor to the Channel leadership and associated business teams and provide ongoing support while bringing ideas that help ensure compliance with broader business strategy and direction;</li>
<li>Liaise with and support Compliance teams and Regional Commercial legal teams in AMER, APJ, and EMEA on Channel and related matters;</li>
<li>Interpret terms and conditions and make practical and pragmatic recommendations based on risk analysis, ensuring compliance with company policies, including revenue recognition;</li>
<li>Identify and drive awareness around changes to the legislative and regulatory landscape that may have an impact on Varonis’ operations; and</li>
<li>Oversee compliance projects initiated by both the legal department and the Varonis business.</li>
<li>Requires Master's degree plus 8 years of experience.</li>
