In addition, this position will help manage Comerica's regulatory relationships and interactions, assist with exam preparation and provide regulatory reporting. </div> <div></div> <div> <b>Position Competencies</b> <br> This position requires the highest level of legal analysis, integrity, trust, and judgment. The successful attorney must have excellent communication skills, the ability to quickly learn new areas of law, business acumen, and political savvy. Candidates must be customer-focused, solution-oriented, and capable of anticipating and meeting the needs of demanding client groups. Flexibility and the ability to successfully manage a wide range of assignments simultaneously is necessary. </div> <div></div> <div> <b>Position Responsibilities:</b> </div> <ul> <li>Assist in all bank regulatory matters, including supporting interactions with regulatory agencies, advising management on regulatory issues, and supporting examinations and responses.</li> <li>Advise on the legal and regulatory implications of bank policies, products, services, and courses of action.</li> <li>Provide legal support to various management committees and business units.</li> <li>Produce clear and concise legal positions involving highly complex issues.</li> </ul> <br> </div> <br> <div> <div> <b>Position Qualifications:</b> </div> <ul> <li>J.D. from an ABA accredited law school</li> <li>Active member in good standing with the State Bar of Texas or, if licensed in another state, able to qualify for admission in Texas within 180 days of employment</li> <li>5 years of relevant experience as a practicing attorney at a law firm, financial institution, or U.S. bank regulator</li> <li>Representation of clients before the federal banking agencies such as the Federal Reserve and CFPB is preferred</li> <li>General knowledge of U.S. banking law and regulations is required</li> <li>Experience advising on consumer regulatory matters is preferred</li> </ul> </div>Comerica Bank Tower <br> 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday </div></div>
