Orrick seeks a mid-level associate with three to five years of experience to join our dynamic Restructuring practice group in our New York City or Washington, D.C. offices. Experience in large transactions with a major law firm and strong education profile preferred. We are seeking associates that have both litigation experience and transactional skills. We are focused on finding an associate that would be located in our New York or Washington, D.C. office. The ideal candidate will have: • At least three years of restructuring experience, preferably with experience representing debtors, creditors’ and ad hoc committees, and asset acquirers, with a major law firm. • Experience with unsecured creditors’ committees, restructuring support agreements, DIPs, reorganization plans, and exit facilities. • High level of familiarity with the Bankruptcy Code and Rules, and practical experience researching and drafting pleadings and briefs. • Transactional experience and an understanding of accounting and financial issues that affect restructuring transactions. • Strong academic credentials, excellent legal research and superb writing and oral communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and is a team player. • Admission to New York State Bar or Washington, D.C. Compensation and Benefits The expected salary range for this position is between $310,000 and $390,000. Orrick is committed to providing a comprehensive, competitive, and thoughtful total compensation package to our attorneys and staff, wherever they work. This compensation and benefits information is based on the Orrick’s estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include, but not limited to, qualifications, relevant experience or education, particular skills or expertise, geography. Other compensation may include an annual discretionary merit bonus, which would be determined by Firm and individual performance.
