ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY JOB DESCRIPTION: Singleton Schreiber, LLP is a motivated Attorney to join our firm’s Settlement team, who will play a pivotal role in advocating for our clients’ rights and delivering outstanding legal services. This position will support the firm’s fire, mass tort, personal injury, environmental, and civil rights practice teams. This will be a hybrid role based in our San Diego office. SALARY AND BENEFITS: $150,000-$180,000 annually Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage multiple settlement teams across a variety of departments, including managing employees at various levels. Ensure compliance with each state’s rules and regulations, including professional rules of responsibility related to fund distribution. Draft and prepare legal documents, including settlement agreements, minor’s compromises and requests for dismissal. Perform legal research. Collaborate with each practice group to strategize on process improvement and incorporation of innovative ideas. Incorporate Doc Gen into standard practices and procedures. Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and team members. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school Active license to practice law in California. 5-7 years of experience in civil lititgation Management experience. Proficiency in Adobe, and Microsoft Office products. Proficiency with E-Discovery and law programs such as ShareFile, PACER, CaseAnywhere, Lexis, Smart Advocate, Everlaw, FileVine and OneLegal. Detail-oriented and organized, a team player, reliable, and capable of multitasking and managing several time-critical projects under tight deadlines.
