The Banking and Capital Markets Paralegal will support the Banking and Capital Markets practice group. This is a nonexempt administrative position that reports to the Office Administrator and assigned attorneys. There are no direct reports to this position. The paralegal will work a regular schedule as determined by the Office Administrator/HR and/or the assigned attorneys. This role can sit in one of the following office locations: Raleigh, NC or Charlotte, NC. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Research and prepare preliminary and final official statements Research public records online and via communication with state and local officials Coordinate with county and town governments (clerk to council and attorneys) and clients to have bond and tax incentive measures placed on county and town council agendas Draft, prepare, and organize necessary legal and closing documents Prepare final transcripts for closings and economic development transactions Organize and coordinate document signings with clients and other financing parties Prepare and file required reporting documents with state and federal agencies Assist attorneys in general corporate matters including maintaining corporate records for U.S. and international companies File and database/records maintenance for all Closing Transcripts Requirements 5 or more years of experience as a Paralegal in a law firm or legal department and a paralegal certificate, or the equivalent combination of education and experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
