Job Description Shearman & Sterling LLP is seeking a Financial Institutions Advisory Associate, with broker-dealer regulatory experience, in our New York office. Our Financial Institutions Advisory practice focuses on both US and multinational transactions, and our lawyers deliver an integrated service on complex global matters. We represent a broad range of clients, such as financial institutions, hedge funds, private banks, asset managers, trade associations, on all aspects of financial matters, and across all industries. The ideal candidate must have 5 - 7 years of meaningful broker-dealer experience and excellent academic credentials as well as major law firm experience. New York qualified is ideal but not required. Shearman & Sterling’s compensation is aligned with the standard market-rate salary scale. The good faith, annualized salary range for this position is $225,000 to $435,000 depending on the candidate’s overall experience and other job-related factors permitted by law such as, education, training, other responsibilities. The annual salary range listed is just one component of Shearman & Sterling’s total compensation and benefits package which includes a discretionary bonus, paid leave, life, health, accident and disability insurance, and a 401(k) plan.
