The Operations Legal Team provides advice and counsel to management and programs on various matters including contract law, government procurement, and federal grant administration. In accordance with Section 7-101, Nebraska Revised, Reissued Statutes of l943, incumbents in this class must be admitted to the Nebraska Bar. </div> <div></div> <div> PREFERRED: Experience managing or leading legal staff or legal operations. Experience with contract law; federal, block, or state grants; public contracting; software licensing agreements; Experience with employment and labor relations. </div> <div></div> <div> <br> Knowledge, skills and abilities </div> <div> Excellent legal research and communication skills. Ability to interpret and communicate the legal effect of transactional documents; analyze the application of relevant law to specific facts; recognize the impact of developing legislation and case law on the agency and its programs; and interpret complex federal and state constitutional, statutory and regulatory law.
