Drafting, reviewing, and revising contracts, assisting with EEOC claims and employee grievances. Researching and interpreting statutes, case law, and the administrative code, preparing external and internal legal correspondence, and other documents. Working collaboratively with the agency and other entities to address legal issues or concerns. Other duties as assigned within the scope of classification. </div> <div></div> <div> Requirements / Qualifications </div> <div></div> <div> Minimum Qualifications: Three years of experience as an attorney practicing law and providing legal services such as preparing and trying cases, advising clients, and/or interpreting laws or administrative policies. </div> <div></div> <div> Legal Requirements: In accordance with Section 7-101, Nebraska Revised, Reissued Statutes of l943, incumbents in this class must be admitted to the Nebraska Bar. </div> <div></div> <div> <br> Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience as in-house counsel. Intermediate to advanced understanding of business processes as it relates to state government services. </div> <div></div> <div> <br> Other: Regular and reliable attendance is required. </div> <div></div> <div> <br> Knowledge, Skills and Abilities </div> <div></div> <div> Graduation from an ABA accredited law school. Current license to practice law in Nebraska or the ability to obtain a license to practice law in Nebraska within three months of hire.
