Grow. with us. **Who we're looking for** Toyota’s Regulatory Department for Toyota Legal One is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Managing Counsel, Cybersecurity. Reporting to the Assistant General Counsel - Regulatory , the primary responsibility of this role is to provide legal advice to the highest levels of the organization on legal, regulatory, and reputational cybersecurity matters, including current and emerging legal and regulatory requirements, compliance, and cyber litigation and investigations. The position could be based on Plano -TX, Ann Arbor – MI or Washington D.C. **What you'll be doing** * Primary legal advisor to the Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) and Toyota Connected North American (TCNA) Chief Information Security Officer, Information Security Department, Vehicle Security Team, Connected Technologies Department, and relevant areas of the business regarding all cyber issues, including current and emerging legal and regulatory requirements and best practices, risk assessment and management, incident response, government reporting - scope includes traditional system cybersecurity and vehicle cybersecurity. * Responsible for continued development and implementation of the cyber compliance program and policies, overall cybersecurity governance, and proactive training. * Manages litigation and investigation response teams on all cybersecurity-related matters. Selects, retains, and manages outside counsel, consultant/experts, and relevant professionals. * Manages non-cyber regulatory enforcement matters/litigation as appropriate, including privacy and other regulatory areas. * Advises in non-cyber regulatory areas as appropriate based on expertise. **What you bring** * Law Degree from an accredited law school. * Experience as an attorney at a law firm, corporation, and/or government agency, with demonstrated ability to perform the responsibilities listed above. * Significant experience as a cybersecurity attorney. * Active membership in good standing in the bar of at least one U.S. state/jurisdiction. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Team player with the ability to lead and empower teams to proactively solve issues. * Ability and willingness to travel 20% of the time, including internationally. **Added bonus if you have** * Previous in-house experience highly desirable, including management of outside counsel, experts. * Vehicle-related regulatory experience. * Experience with class action litigation and/or government enforcement actions. * Experience advising automotive, consumer products, and/or technology companies. * Privacy experience. * Antitrust experience. **What we'll bring** During your interview process, our team can fill you in on all the details of our industry-leading benefits and career development opportunities.
