JOB TITLE: Commercial Litigation Attorney LOCATION: Denver, CO office (hybrid work environment) JOB SUMMARY Spencer Fane has an opening in our Denver, CO office for a Commercial Litigation Attorney with 2-5 years of experience. An ideal candidate will value office collegiality and want to contribute to fostering a great culture. Preferred experience includes a background with complex commercial litigation, and a history of handling fact investigation, legal research, drafting discovery, preparing pleadings, taking and defending depositions, participating in mediations, communicating with opposing counsel and clients, appearing in court for motions and pre-hearing proceedings, and trial experience. Prior law firm experience is preferred. Benefits include: Paid Time Off, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Paid Parental Leave, Group Life, and Disability Compensation: $165,000-185,000, commensurate with experience, plus significant variable compensation potential REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school with an excellent academic record Admission to the Colorado bar Ability to interface directly with attorneys and clients Demonstrate an ability to work independently and productively Exceptional written and oral communication skills Strong decision-making, problem-solving and organization skills Outstanding judgment Ability to effectively handle multiple projects Ability to develop and implement legal strategies Civil litigation case management experience PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Position is generally sedentary in nature; involves sitting most of the time, but may involve the need for inter-office mobility for brief periods of time Ability to occasionally or routinely lift up to 10 – 20 lbs.
