Job Description: Capital Markets & Investments Associate | Washington, DC | #3337 Eversheds Sutherland (US) LLP is seeking an Associate with 1-3 years of experience to work with its Capital Markets & Investments practice group in the Washington, DC office. We are looking to add a team member with background in Securities and Capital Markets. Investment management experience is a plus but not a requirement. We cultivate exceptional attorneys across all levels by providing them with the experiences and resources needed to build successful careers! The Associate will join a supportive practice that counsels various industry leading companies and management teams. Additionally, the Associate will have extensive interaction with a variety of clients, while the team advises business development companies (BDCs), registered closed-end funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and real estate investment trusts (REITs) on regulatory and transactional matters, including public and private offerings, ongoing regulatory compliance with the federal securities laws, and mergers and acquisitions. We are seeking candidates who possess: One to three years of law firm or SEC experience. Skills and knowledge related to a broad range of transactional, regulatory, and corporate governance matters, including under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, the Securities Act of 1933 and the Investment Company Act of 1940. Specific understanding of registered investment companies and the Investment Company Act of 1940 would be valued. Excellent writing and analytical skills. Strong academic records and impressive communication abilities. Confidence, self-motivation, a team-player mindset, the ability to assume immediate responsibility for matters in an active practice, and a strong interest in joining our team!
