Native American Law Associate – Mid Level

The Native American law team at Procopio is looking for a Mid level Associate to join their group at either the San Diego or Scottsdale office. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing practice at an AmLaw 200 Firm that provides substantial client contact, practice development, and professional growth opportunities. The ideal candidate has a degree in Native American Law and 3-5 years’ experience with federal law impacting tribes. Transactional work will include intergovernmental negotiations and agreements, Indian healthcare clinic contracts and operations, leasing and land use, gaming and hospitality, tribal employment matters, and drafting legislation and ordinances. Tangible legal experience working in Native American communities is required. This position requires California and/or Arizona bar admission and excellent academic credentials. The best candidates will have strong critical analytical and writing skills, a high level of attention to detail, and will have superior time management skills. Procopio’s Native American Team has a very a team-oriented culture and requires dedication to professionalism and client relations. Typical salary range is from $145,000 to $230,000 depending on experience. We offer significant bonus opportunities for attorneys of all levels.
