Job Summary As an Associate, you will engage with real estate credit funds, public mortgage REITs, and other investors in real estate credit on a variety of structured finance matters. Your responsibilities will encompass drafting, reviewing, and negotiating master repurchase agreements, loan-on-loan credit agreements, and other structured finance transactions. You will have direct client contact, requiring strong communication skills, and will be expected to stay informed about industry trends to provide the most current and effective advice and solutions. Required Skills/Abilities Qualified candidates should have between 3-5 years of legal experience in real estate credit and/or structure finance currently working at a large law firm. A J.D. degree from an accredited law school or equivalent and admission to practice in the state of Massachusetts, or eligibility to obtain admission promptly in the state, will be required. Candidates should have a comprehensive understanding of real estate finance, including knowledge of real estate credit funds, public mortgage REITs, and other real estate credit investors. They should have expertise in structured finance matters, particularly with experience in master repurchase agreements and loan-on-loan credit agreements. Proficiency in drafting legal documents related to structured finance transactions will be essential. Effective client contact and relationship management will require strong communication skills. Candidates should also proactively stay informed about industry trends and developments in real estate finance.
