Barnes & Thornburg seeks a Patent Agent with 3+ years’ experience. This position will involve preparation and prosecution of patent applications. Must be familiar with patent law and filing procedures. Successful applicants must evidence excellent academic achievement, good character, initiative and interpersonal skills. Must be registered to practice with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Master’s degree or Ph.D. in a chemical or pharmaceutical-related science highly preferred. We will also consider a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree and substantial chemical or pharmaceutical-related industrial experience. Must be able to speak the language of organic chemistry. Salary and benefits package will be competitive and commensurate with experience. We will not consider resumes submitted by external agencies or recruiters for this position.
