Job Type Full-time Trenam Law is hiring for 2 paralegal positions in our Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights practice. One to focus on Bankruptcy matters (St Petersburg office) and one to handle a busy commercial foreclosure caseload (Tampa office). Bankruptcy Paralegal – St Pete Office This position requires a minimum of 4 years of bankruptcy paralegal experience working in a law firm or bankruptcy court. Candidates should have a working knowledge of the life cycle of a bankruptcy matter and be able to anticipate next steps in legal process. Must have experience representing trustees, receivers and other court-appointed fiduciaries and in preparation of court filings for state and federal courts. Creditors’ Rights Paralegal – Tampa Office Primary responsibilities include initial drafting of pleadings and related documents, corresponding with clients, coordinating hearings, interfacing with all state courts, knowledge and experience with all circuit courts throughout Florida, court filings, and case management. Prior experience with the foreclosure process and procedures is needed. Both paralegal positions require strong attention to detail, effective proofreading skills, application of legal knowledge to assignments and the ambition to take ownership of projects. Additionally, organization of projects, an aptitude for technology/software, and functionality with MS Office applications will be invaluable assets. Personal characteristics of a professional demeanor and appearance, positive attitude, and willingness to work in concert with others are consistent with our culture. Having the FRP designation or being qualified for certification are helpful and the right candidate will either have one of these designations or be willing to apply as soon as eligible.
