Robinson+Cole, a Vault "Top Ranked" Am Law 200 firm, seeks an associate with three to five years of experience to join the Data Privacy + Cybersecurity team of its Business Litigation Practice Group in any of its East Coast offices. Robinson+Cole’s Data Privacy + Cybersecurity team is well-versed in incident and data breach response, mitigation, remediation, coordination, and litigation, including investigations by the U.S. Office for Civil Rights and state Attorneys General (AGs). We coordinate forensic investigations and mitigation tactics in response to cyber attacks, advise on data mapping and the development of enterprise-wide privacy and security plans, and provide counsel on federal and state data privacy and security rules and regulations. We also counsel clients on artificial intelligence and have an AI Team comprised of attorneys from various practice groups in the firm. We are seeking a highly motivated candidate interested in joining our fast-paced and dynamic practice. Candidates should be comfortable working as part of a team as well as independently. Superior academic credentials and excellent writing, analytical, and counseling skills are required. Qualified candidates will have at least three years of experience as a practicing attorney in the areas of cybersecurity and data privacy. The successful candidate will be expected to provide counsel on security incident and data breach response, state and federal data privacy and security laws, and enforcement actions. Our ideal candidate will have a strong cybersecurity background and forensic data breach experience. The candidate will also assist with technology contracts and compliance with state data privacy laws. The selected candidate will also assist with data privacy litigation and other litigation matters, including drafting of briefs on critical motions, management of discovery, depositions, and court appearances. New York and DC Applicants: Please note that the target base salary range for this position is $190,000 to $202,500. Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual’s class year, years of experience, skills, qualifications, and office location.
