The Tax Controversy & Litigation Practice at Chamberlain Hrdlicka seeks a Senior Associate with 8 – 10 years of tax controversy experience. This position can be located in any one of the firm’s four primary office locations: Houston, TX, San Antonio, TX, Atlanta, GA, or Philadelphia, PA. The ideal candidate will have practical experience with some or all of tax court litigation procedures, tax court trial experience, tax disputes, tax audits, and tax appeals, as well as experience with federal income and estate/gift tax issues. A strong candidate will have law firm or accounting firm experience. A degree in accounting, CPA license, or LL.M. in Tax, Tax Court clerkship or government experience with the IRS or DOJ-TAX is strongly preferred, but not required. Candidate must have excellent academic and employment credentials. A demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively in oral and written form with strong attention to detail is a must. A successful candidate has the ability to work independently and efficiently, as well as within a team environment involving extensive collaboration with other attorneys, paralegals, and office staff. Must be admitted to practice in at least one state (Georgia, Texas, or Pennsylvania are preferred, but not required). Relocation assistance is offered.
