For further information about Nomura, visit www.nomura.com.</p> <p> Aon's Benefit Index , Nomura's benefits <b>rank</b> <b>#1</b> amongst our competitors</p> <p> </p> <p><b>Department Overview:</b></p> <p><b> </b></p> <ul> <li>Legal team of regulatory and transactional attorneys supporting all Global Markets businesses, including Equities, Rates, Credit, FX, Securitized Products and various Solutions businesses</li> </ul> <p><b>Role description:</b></p> <p><b> </b></p> <ul> <li>Work closely with the Business with respect to the structuring, sale, negotiation, documentation and execution of a wide range of products, with a primary focus on mortgage structured finance and lending businesses (including repurchase transactions, securitizations, and whole loan trading) within the Global Markets division</li> <li>Advise and assist in the creation, structuring, regulatory analysis and launch of new products and businesses within structured finance</li> <li>Interpret, educate and assist with the implementation of regulatory changes that impact structured finance businesses</li> <li>Advise the Business, Risk, Operations, IT, Compliance and others internally regarding legal and regulatory issues, developments and risks relating to structured finance products and businesses</li> <li>Assist with ongoing advocacy efforts relating to regulatory changes impacting structured finance businesses</li> </ul> <p></p> <p><b>Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:</b></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Strong structured finance experience (e.g. asset-backed lending, secured or unsecured credit facilities, repurchase transactions, securitizations, trade finance, insurance solutions, project finance, direct lending transactions)</li> <li>Familiarity with corporate, securities, creditor, finance and bankruptcy laws and related issues</li> <li>Strong organizational, analytical and time management skills</li> <li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment</li> <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and management</li> <li>Ability to work independently and respond proactively to business needs</li> <li>Strong team player</li> </ul> <p></p> <p><i>Nomura is an Equal Opportunity Employer</i></p> </div> </div></div>
