Job duties include providing general and legal advice to the firm’s diverse union and employee benefit plan clients; attending client meetings; representing workers at grievance arbitration hearings; handling ERISA related litigation, including enforcement of contribution obligations, subrogation, benefit denial and withdrawal liability cases; and defending the firm’s employee benefit plan clients and union clients in administrative hearings and in state and federal court. Dedication to the labor movement, strong writing and oral advocacy skills, attention to detail, organization and time management are very important. The candidate should be a motivated self-starter with superb judgment and communication skills, and must have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be licensed and in good standing in California. Associates are paid on a ten step pay scale based on years of experience performing relevant work. The scale starts at $86,650.00 and ends at $122,000.00.” Associates are also eligible for bonuses.
