The Team We have an established and well-respected group of lawyers in our Recoveries Team who act for a wide range of insurers in relation to the recovery of insured and uninsured losses arising out of motor, household and commercial property disputes. The Role Successful candidates will be required to assess and pursue subrogated claims for losses and/or expenditure from third parties who are responsible for causing damage property (buildings, and chattels)*. Instructions are received from insurers and corporates who either provide insurance to their customers or are required to self-insure for damage and repair . There may also be some uninsured loss recovery. Previous experience in a similar environment would be preferred. *None of the work will involve personal injury litigation. Key Responsibilities Ability to assess relevant gaps in factual information and resolve any omissions in relevant information. Ability to understand and follow strategic management of cases Detailed understanding of recoveries procedures and the ability to manage a large caseload. Demonstrate knowledge and experience of running both pre-litigated and litigated files and prioritise accordingly. Ability to proactively manage and deliver accurate and punctual MI and adhere to strict client service standards and KPIs. Covering a range of areas, you’ll be involved in instructing counsel and medical experts, taking statements, assessing evidence, reviewing medical records, attending conferences, and much more. Our Paralegal Academy Lead will be on hand to keep everything running smoothly, and our Legal Training Manager will also support you with technical and structured training - so you can get the skills and experience to go further than you imagine.
