Amundsen Davis seeks an associate to join its Chicago office. Successful candidates must be licensed in Illinois and have a minimum of 3 years of civil litigation and billing experience. General responsibilities include representing clients in all aspects of litigation including court hearings and conferences, performing all aspects of oral and written discovery; conducting extensive fact investigation/development and legal research; drafting pleadings, client reports, and affidavits; engaging in active motion practice in both state and federal court, including dispositive motions; and trial preparation and trial work. Experience in entertainment and/or defamation law a plus, but not essential. A strong work ethic, careful attention to detail, analytical abilities, solid writing skills, and the ability to work well on a team are a must.
