Faegre Drinker is actively recruiting an attorney to join our Corporate group and Nonprofit Organizations team. This position is open in the following offices: New York City, Philadelphia, Washington D.C, Indianapolis, Minneapolis, and Los Angeles. Candidates must specify which office they are interested in being considered for in their cover letter. Our ideal candidate will have three to five years of legal experience in private practice advising nonprofit organizations on the tax, corporate, and charitable trust issues that are unique to tax-exempt and nonprofit organizations. We will also consider applications from attorneys with a demonstrated interest in advising nonprofit organizations and who have experience in political law, corporate or tax law, including corporate and partnership tax, employee benefits, or trusts and estates. Faegre Drinker has a long-standing and highly respected practice advising many of the nation’s leading charitable foundations, nonprofit hospitals and healthcare providers, cultural and arts organizations, educational institutions, museums, churches and religious organizations, trade associations, affordable housing organizations, and a wide variety of other nonprofits. Members of the Nonprofit Organizations practice group work closely with lawyers in the firm’s employment, corporate, real estate, intellectual property, and litigation groups to serve our nonprofit clients. Excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and strong academic credentials are required. The anticipated initial annual salary range for someone who is hired into this position is $195,000 – $300,000. Actual initial salary may be above or below the above-identified range and will be based on the relevant skills, training, experience, and other job-related factors, including the location of where the position is filled and consistent with applicable law. The initial salary range listed above is just one component of Faegre Drinker’s total compensation and benefits package for attorneys, which includes, but is not limited to, productivity and discretionary bonuses; life, health, accident and disability insurance; and a 401(k) plan.
