Are you?</p> <br> <p>The position</p> By joining our team in Legal you will have the opportunity to: <br> <ul> <li>Play an integral role on greenfield project development and project-related transactions (equity investments, joint ventures, debt financing and ITC, acquisitions, lease-backs, etc.).</li> <li> Negotiate and advise on a range of project agreements, shareholder/JV arrangements, purchase and sale agreements, parent guarantees/credit support, leases and other contracts related to the renewables business.</li> <li> Provide guidance to commercial/technical teams and external counsel on diligence exercises in connection with project acquisitions, financings and greenfield developments.</li> <li> Provide advice to team leaders on Equinor’s US renewables portfolio and strategy.</li> <li> Represent Equinor in multiple aspects of the business and provide general legal support.</li> <li> Effectively and efficiently engage and manage outside counsel.</li> <li> Increase Equinor’s internal legal knowledge and capacity through continuous knowledge sharing.</li> <li> Collaborate with colleagues as we develop our renewables business cross the globe.</li> </ul> <br> <p>You</p> <p> Some qualities are essential for Equinor. For this position, we are also looking for:</p> <ul> <li>Juris Doctor from an accredited US law school required and qualified to practice law in the US. New York barred would be an asset.</li> <li> 5+ years of law firm and/or in-house experience advising on construction, energy/infrastructure project development and joint ventures (EPC, off-take, real estate, etc.) and project-related transactions (e.g., purchase and sales, equity investments, debt financings, etc.).</li> <li> Experience in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.</li> <li> Experience working in construction, US power/energy sector, and/or renewable energy sector preferred.</li> <li> A business-oriented attorney with a self-starter mindset, who can be nimble, prioritize, and move projects forward independently</li> </ul> <br> <p>General information</p> <p> Candidates are expected to openly offer all relevant information about themselves during the recruitment process.
