<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b> Minimum qualifications:</b></h3>

<li>JD, equivalent degree, or equivalent practical experience.<br> </li>
<li>Admitted to the bar in which position is located and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g., have registered in-house status).</li>
<li>6 years of experience as a practicing attorney.</li>

<ul>
<li>Experience with product or regulatory counseling.<br> </li>
<li>Knowledge of global content, privacy, and security, consumer protection, copyright, and competition laws.<br> </li>
<li>Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment with limited direction, balance competing priorities, and manage several time-sensitive projects at once.<br> </li>
<li>Ability to apply Google’s risk principles and make risk calls with imperfect information.<br> </li>

<p> As Corporate Counsel at Google, you work on the most exciting legal issues as disruptive technological innovations require creative and proactive legal guidance. You're part of a whip-smart group of in-house lawyers and the projects and cases you take on challenge you to think big and differently. You are collaborative - ready to partner in initiatives that influence all aspects of the business and work with Googlers from all over the company. As an integrated part of the team, you proactively assess legal risks and advise on products that will not only move information into the 21st century, but move information law forward as well.</p>
<p> As an Associate Product Counsel, you will be focused on product, privacy, and regulatory counseling across Google Assistant and Google Bard. You will play a key role in counseling high-risk product launches globally, implicating AI, machine-learning, privacy, content, copyright, and competition legal issues. You will help build solutions to successfully land product launches globally. You will work closely with key stakeholders across Global Affairs and the wider company to prepare and comply with existing and upcoming global laws.</p>

<p> The US base salary range for this full-time position is $189,000-$290,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
