Katten is seeking a highly qualified Associate to join its Corporate Department to focus on employment and labor matters. Candidates can be based in any U.S. Katten office. Candidates should have 4 years of employment law work experience at a nationally recognized law firm. Candidates should have specific experience: Advising clients in employment-related compliance, including worker classification, wage and hour, immigration, unions and collective bargaining, employment policies and handbooks and equal opportunity laws. Drafting employment agreements. Drafting separation agreements and advising on reductions-in-force and WARN Act issues. Drafting and advising on restrictive covenants. Conducting employment-related diligence and handling employment related reps and covenants in transaction documents is a plus. All candidates must have excellent academic credentials, strong writing skills, superior organization skills, and a strong client-team focused work ethic. Candidates should be members in good standing of (or eligibility to waive into) the bar of at least one Katten office where they will be based. The estimated salary range for this role is $225,000 - $420,000. Salary determinations are made based on numerous factors, such as, but not limited to experience/job history, class/graduation year, and practice area of the selected candidate.
