Summary Welborn Sullivan Meck & Tooley, P.C., a leading law firm in Denver, CO and Casper, WY, representing clients in a diverse range of industries, is seeking a Summer Law Associate to work alongside the firm’s attorneys, aiding in research, writing memos, drafting briefs and other court pleadings, as well as transactional documents. The Summer Associate program provides students with an opportunity to experience first-hand the day-to-day atmosphere of working in a law firm. Summer Associates will be given opportunities to work with attorneys within various practice areas throughout the firm. Expectations: Students should have a demonstrated interest or experience in natural resources, environmental, water, oil and gas law, real estate and/or real property law. The ideal candidate will have strong academic credentials, demonstrated leadership skills, strong motivation, good judgement and the ability to work well in a team environment. Applications are open to current 2L students that will begin their 3L year in the fall of 2024 Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a seasonal, summer, non-exempt position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This is a full-time position for the summer of 2024 for a period of 10 work weeks or less. Pay is semi-monthly, based on an expected 40 hours worked per week. The hourly pay rate is $45 per hour for Denver, CO. This is a seasonal opportunity and thus not eligible for benefits.
