Washington, D.C. Office - Political Law Associate

Our Political Law group seeks an associate with two to four years of experience in campaign finance, pay to play, lobbying regulations, and FARA. Experience working at the Federal Election Commission or comparable law firm experience required. Stellar academic credentials and advanced written and verbal communication skills are required. Akin’s Political Law practice is nonpartisan and focuses exclusively on assisting private-sector clients to navigate the rules regarding interactions with government officials. Our team advises corporations, trade associations, financial services providers and private equity and hedge funds on compliance with laws governing political activities and represents clients before the Federal Election Commission, Department of Justice, State Attorney Generals, House and Senate Ethics Committees and various state agencies.
