JOB SUMMARY Kutak Rock LLP seeks a Real Estate and Finance Associate to join its Scottsdale office. This position is ideal for an attorney experienced in commercial real estate and finance transactions that wants to grow their career in the firm’s expanding regional and national platform. RESPONSIBILITIES Draft loan documents Review, draft and manage loan and real estate-related due diligence Review, draft and negotiate leases and amendments Prepare and negotiate purchase and sale agreements and related documents Conduct real estate and lending closings Review and draft organizational documents Ensure that appropriate approvals are in place before transactions are executed Interpret laws rulings and regulations in relevant areas of the law QUALIFICATIONS: Skills and Abilities Knowledge of state and federal laws regarding the ownership and sale of real property Proficiency in real estate finance and asset-based finance transactions Understanding of various business entities Knowledge of title and survey review and other real estate/finance diligence documents Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to apply critical thinking and possess a high attention to detail Exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills Self-motivated and proactive with a strong work ethic Ability and confidence to work independently while thriving in a collaborative, team environment Commitment to achieving the goals of Firm clients QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from a fully accredited U.S. law school required Must be currently admitted to practice in Arizona with an active bar license in good standing Minimum of 2 years’ experience in finance and/or commercial real estate transactions required Excellent academic record preferred Position Information Status: Exempt Salary: $140,000-$160,000, commensurate with experience Work Arrangement: In Office Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Dependent Life, Disability, and Accidental Death & Dismemberment insurance.
