Bankruptcy Associate

Snell & Wilmer LLP

Snell & Wilmer’s Phoenix and Seattle offices seek to hire a junior associate to support its bankruptcy and creditor’s rights practice group in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will be completing a judicial clerkship for a bankruptcy judge or have a minimum of one year of law firm experience either documenting or enforcing commercial loans for institutional clients. This may include experience with due diligence, UCC, debtor/creditor work, secured transactions, documentation and negotiation of sophisticated lending transactions, and broader bankruptcy experience, including familiarity with the bankruptcy court. We seek excellent research and writing skills; prior clerkship experience is a plus. The associate will be assisting partners in Phoenix and/or Seattle. Participating in our local community is part of our credo and is expected of our team members. This is a full-time, partnership-track position that is eligible to participate in the firm’s benefit plans, including our 401K Profit Sharing and Savings Plan with discretionary employer contribution, and is eligible for consideration for annual discretionary bonuses. The minimum annual base compensation for candidates placed in Washington is $175,000, depending on experience. Snell & Wilmer LLP believes that embracing diversity and inclusion brings out the best of what each individual has to offer and inspires us to build strong and lasting connections with each other, our clients, and our communities. We are committed to creating and cultivating a diverse workforce and inclusive environment where every employee has the right to work in surroundings that are free from all forms of unlawful discrimination. It is our policy to conduct all employment-related activities without regard to an employee’s sex, race, color, ancestry, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, gender expression, national origin, religious creed, age, marital status, physical or mental disability, genetic information, medical condition, military condition, military or veteran status or any other basis prohibited by applicable local, state, or federal laws.
