<p><b>Director and Managing IP Counsel</b></p>
<p>onsemi (Nasdaq: ON) is driving disruptive innovations to help build a better future. With a continued focus on the automotive and industrial end-markets, onsemi is accelerating change and driving disruptive innovation towards a sustainable ecosystem in high-growth megatrends such as vehicle electrification, advanced safety, alternative energy, and factory automation. As part of that effort, the Company is seeking a senior intellectual property (IP) counsel to perform the following tasks:</p>
<ul>
<li><p>Manage other legal team members and lead the implementation of best practices and process improvements across entire IP portfolio.</p> </li>
<li><p>Develop an intimate understanding of key technology areas relevant to one of the Company’s assigned business units.</p> </li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li><p>Understand the competitive landscape of the assigned business unit.</p> </li>
<li><p>Counsel engineers through the ideation process, conduct idea harvesting sessions, and lead internal idea review board activities.</p> </li>
<li><p>Manage patent prosecution efforts of outside counsel and directly engage in strategic patent prosecution from time-to-time as necessary.</p> </li>
<li><p>Actively cultivate a portfolio of existing patents to match business need.</p> </li>
<li><p>Partner with business leaders to provide guidance on IP matters generally.</p> </li>
</ul>
<p>This position will report to the Chief IP Counsel located in Phoenix, Arizona. Local candidates are preferred but exceptional remote candidates that are willing to travel as necessary are encouraged to apply. While knowledge of IP litigation will be helpful to the role, this is not an IP litigation position.</p>

<p><br> Requirements:</p>
<ul>
<li><p>Degree in electrical engineering or physics.</p> </li>
<li><p>Juris Doctorate from accredited law school.</p> </li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li><p>Admitted to a US state bar and in good standing.</p> </li>
<li><p>USPTO registration and in good standing.</p> </li>
<li><p>10+ years experience as patent attorney.</p> </li>
<li><p>Intellectual curiosity.</p> </li>
<li><p>Team player attitude – no job to big or small.</p> </li>
