We are seeking a highly motivated Counsel to join as a generalist in the Office of General Counsel. This attorney, will work as an Individual Contributor, will provide legal guidance and counsel on various matters impacting the GEICO companies. Although this attorney will be expected to operate as a generalist, the job will require expertise in one or more of the legal areas for which the Office of the General Counsel is responsible, including:

Relationship builder with clients and cross functional partner. complex instructions, resolve conflicts or facilitate conflict resolution, and have strong organization/priority setting and multi-tasking skills.

Must be able to organize and prioritize workload, work well individually and as a team member, advise and respond to business clients in a creative, effective, understanding, and communicate effectively

Qualifications:
</div>
<ul>
<li>
<div>
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
</div></li>
<li>
<div>
Admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
</div></li>
<li>
<div>
Must be licensed in good standing to practice law in applicable jurisdiction
</div></li>
<li>
<div>
2 years of experience practicing law
</div></li>
<li>
<div>
Property and casualty insurance regulation is preferred
</div></li>
<li>
<div>
Must be able to travel as required, to attend trials, hearings, depositions, management meetings and conferences.
</div></li>
<li>
<div>
Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
</div></li>
<li>
<div>
Must be able to learn and apply large amounts of technical and procedural information.
</div></li>
<li>
<div>
Must be licensed in good standing to practice law in applicable jurisdictions and meet and maintain licensing requirements including mandatory Continuing Legal Education (CLE) requirements where applicable.
