Leech Tishman Fuscaldo & Lampl, LLC is seeking to hire a mid-level Title Attorney on a contract basis. Candidate should have 3-5 years of experience in conducting title examinations, drafting title opinions, contract negotiation and drafting, and conducting due diligence reviews, particularly in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia. The position requires significant client contact and the ability to excel when working independently. Superior client communication, writing, research, computer, and organizational skills are a must. Description: Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Conducting title examinations and analyze deeds, leases, and contracts to determine ownership rights related to oil and gas properties Draft title opinions identifying defects, liens, and other issues that may impact ownership rights/use of property Perform due diligence reviews for clients involved in oil and gas transactions including mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures Draft, review, and negotiate agreements and contracts related to leases, joint operating agreements, surface access agreements, and purchase and sale agreements Work closely with Litigation team on curative title litigation, lease expiration claims, and regulatory compliance matters Navigate oil and gas royalty disputes and pipeline right-of-way negotiations Advise on risk mitigation issues involving oil and gas transactions Candidate Qualifications 3-5 years in conducting title examinations and drafting title opinions Juris Doctorate degree Must be licensed in Pennsylvania Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Word Legal research and technical writing skills, including proficiency with legal research tools Ability to handle complex oil and gas matters from start to finish Strong academic and employment credentials Excellent writing, research, negotiation, and communication skills Good interpersonal interaction skills Well-organized Proven track record of performance This is a contract position and will likely be approximately 30 hours per week. Open to in-office or remote candidate (remote candidates should plan on initial onboarding in Pittsburgh office).
