Job Description: The Miami office of Sidley Austin is seeking an associate to support its FinTech, Blockchain and Derivatives practices. Candidates must have 2+ years of experience in derivatives and/or blockchain-related matters, and should have experience in one or more of the following areas: advising on U.S. securities laws and broker-dealer regulatory issues; advising on Commodity Exchange Act and CFTC regulatory and compliance matters; representing clients in discussions with the CFTC, SEC, and self-regulatory organizations with respect to novel issues; drafting and negotiating trading agreements, such as ISDAs and CSAs, prime brokerage agreements, master repurchase agreements, and master securities loan agreements. Candidates should have the ability to issue spot, to collaborate across inter-disciplinary teams, and to think creatively to find solutions to problems that can be complex and uncommon. Candidates must be admitted (or eligible to be admitted) to practice law in Florida. Sidley is open to candidates relocating to Miami. Law school transcripts must be submitted with the application.
