With a clear focus on values, performance and strong leadership, you get to grow with an organisation that values your work and rewards you accordingly.</p> <p> Reporting to the Principal IP Counsel and as part of the IP Legal Team you will have the following responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> Portfolio building <ul> <li> Review and evaluate new invention disclosures; recommend appropriate action to management.</li> <li> Prepare and prosecute patent applications for new inventions.</li> <li> Manage engaged law firms.</li> <li> Pre-transaction due diligence</li> </ul></li> <li> Counselling <ul> <li> Help to maintain trade secret protection.</li> <li> Raise IP awareness.</li> <li> Train employees and managers in the areas of intellectual property issues and company policies.</li> <li> Monitor intellectual property activity of competitors and advise management.</li> <li> Perform fact gathering for right-to-use, infringement, and validity opinions.</li> </ul></li> <li> Legal <ul> <li> Legal review of contracts</li> <li> Analysing contracts to provide advice in relation to ownership and licensing of IP and issues regarding confidentiality</li> <li> Drafting and negotiating research and development, technology joint development, IP and technology licensing, technology services and other IP related agreements with varying degrees of complexity</li> </ul></li> </ul> <p><b> What you will bring</b></p> <ul> <li> A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team</li> <li> Academic background preferably in law and IS&amp;T, electric engineering or chemical engineering.</li> <li> USA patent attorney or agent certification or equivalent.</li> <li> Qualifications as a lawyer in the relevant jurisdiction</li> <li> 8 years minimum post qualification experience in IP, gained in industry or private practice.</li> <li> Bilingual preferable (English, French)</li> <li> Self-starter, excellent inter-personal and organizational skills.</li> <li> Ability to work in a team.</li> </ul> <p><b> What we Offer</b></p> <p> We are committed to providing our employees with a generous benefits package.
