THE OPPORTUNITY: We have an exciting opportunity for a Government Contracts Associate with at least two to six years of government contracts experience. Seyfarth’s highly respected Government Contracts practice group was launched more than 30 years ago, and has been consistently ranked by Legal 500 as one of the nation’s leading government contracts practice groups. The nation’s leading government contractors in a variety of industries trust Seyfarth’s team with claims, prime-sub disputes, and bid protests involving billions of dollars every year. In addition to our government contracts litigation work, a substantial portion of team’s work involves advising government contractors on FAR/DFARs compliance, joint venture and M&A transactions, construction, false claims/internal investigations, SBA regulatory compliance, Service Contract Act, and export controls issues. Our Washington D.C. based government contracts team is uniquely position to advise government contractors located coast-to-coast, due to our team having key government contracts attorneys located in offices across the United States. THE DAY-TO-DAY: As a Government Contracts Attorney, you’ll have the opportunity to work on interesting, challenging, and groundbreaking matters in collaboration with other attorneys and partners. YOU HAVE: 2 to 6 years of government contracts experience. Working knowledge of the FAR and DFARS. Experience handling non-litigation government contracts matters (compliance/transactions), experience in at least one of the following areas is strongly preferred: false claims/internal investigations, cybersecurity, M&A, GSA schedules, cost accounting, data rights, teaming transactions, suspension & debarment, export controls, Service Contract Act. Bid protest experience strongly preferred. Other government contracts litigation experience a plus. Experience representing service contractors, IT contractors, or non-traditional government contractors preferred. Exceptional legal research, analysis and writing skills.
