The law firm of Oblon, McClelland, Maier & Neustadt LLP (“Oblon”) seeks Patent Agents or Technical Advisors experienced in patent application drafting and prosecution to join its Chemical practice. 1-2 years patent application drafting or prosecution experience is required. A technical background is required in the areas of inorganic or organic chemistry. A Master’s or Doctorate in the relevant field is preferred. Industry experience is a plus. Fluency in a foreign language (such as Chinese, Japanese, Korean, French or German) is also a plus. Candidates must possess superior technical knowledge, writing and communication skills. Responsibilities include drafting patent applications; analysis and preparation of replies to office actions; invention and disclosure meetings/calls with clients; and prosecution of patent applications.
