THE DAY-TO-DAY: As an attorney on the IST Team, you’ll have the opportunity to work on interesting, challenging, and groundbreaking cases in collaboration with senior attorneys. Motion for summary judgment:draft and prepare for filing all of the pleadings for the motion and a reply brief. Handle the answer and written discovery for a matter, including conducting the initial case investigation, interviewing witnesses, drafting and responding to discovery, and resolving discovery disputes. YOU HAVE: A collegiate, cooperative approach and enjoy working with experienced lawyers sharing ideas, resources and best practices. A desire to work on exciting matters without the demands of a full-time, on track position. A strong sense of self direction, but also a desire to spend time with collages. Most positions are based out of a single office but the right candidates have the flexibility to work from home whenever they desire. Strong time management skills, and a flexibility around potential work flow. While there is no billable hours expectation, though we would like candidates to commit to being available to work 1,000 to 1,800 hours a year depending on the specific case work. The hours may fluctuate significantly week to week.The nature of litigation is such that sometimes there is lots of work to be done, sometimes less.
