Our team looks for data-driven and fact-based mindsets, engaging and collaborative behaviors, and personal growth-focused professionals.</p> <p> Plus Power is looking to hire a Director of Compliance to join the Legal team. This qualified individual will lead compliance across the company, starting with the design and implementation of a new compliance program suited to the needs of a fast-growing company operating in a complex commercial and legal environment. The Director of Compliance will work directly for the General Counsel, but will collaborate across the organization to ensure effective and efficient compliance.</p> </div> </div> </div> <div> <div> <div> <p><b>Responsibilities</b></p> <ul> <li>Design, implement and maintain a compliance program including policies, procedures, and training, initially as the sole compliance person</li> <li>Ensure all legal obligations are included in the compliance program on an ongoing basis and met in a timely and efficient manner</li> <li>Uphold an ethical compliance culture</li> <li>Conduct internal audits as and when appropriate to ensure business functions comply with laws and company policies</li> <li>Serve as a liaison with regulators on compliance matters</li> <li>Review corporate filings</li> <li>Work with outside counsel to resolve compliance disputes</li> <li>Develop contingency plans</li> <li>Prepare and present on various compliance topics</li> </ul> <p><b> Qualifications</b></p> <ul> <li>JD from an accredited law school</li> <li>Active membership and good standing in at least one US state bar</li> <li>5+ years of legal experience in a law firm or a corporate legal department</li> <li>5+ years of experience in a compliance function (previous experience in the energy or renewables sector preferred)</li> <li>Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of best practices in compliance</li> <li>Excellent written, verbal and analytical skills</li> <li>Creative independent thinker; demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a diverse team</li> <li>Highly organized and attention to detail</li> </ul> </div> </div> </div> <div> <div> <div> <p><b>Compensation and Location</b></p> <p> Highly-competitive remuneration from one of the nation’s most exciting leaders in the energy storage markets.
