The compliance counsel will collaborate within Global Ethics and Compliance and with business leadership to assist in implementing a program designed to proactively prevent and detect violations of anticorruption law and policy. The position involves interaction with all levels of the organization and ongoing communication to anticorruption control owners and related stakeholders on the function and purpose of internal corruption controls.</p> <p></p> <p><i> The position may be fully remote within the United States or hybrid based in Arlington, Virginia, Tewksbury, Massachusetts or Tucson, Arizona.</i></p> <p></p> <p> We value diverse skills and experience, so don’t hold back. If you are passionate about what you could accomplish here, we would love to hear from you.</p> <p></p> <p><b> Responsibilities to Anticipate: </b></p> <ul> <li>Provide review and analysis for Raytheon’s antibribery and anticorruption compliance program using leading practices, tools, and processes for the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and related international anticorruption law.</li> <li> Provide resources and guidance to Raytheon employees on anticorruption related laws, policies, and internal controls.</li> <li> Provide review, analysis, and approval of Raytheon’s international third-party relationships, including collecting and reviewing due diligence materials and creating contractual agreements for international suppliers, sales intermediaries, customers, distributors, offset partners, acquisition targets, and other third parties.</li> <li> Review and analyze requests for business courtesies involving foreign government officials.</li> <li> Maintain and provide up-to-date and comprehensive anticorruption training for internal and external stakeholders.</li> <li> Identify and raise antibribery and anticorruption issues within Global Ethics and Compliance to facilitate appropriate legal review and counsel to business partners and internal stakeholders on antibribery and anticorruption issues.</li> <li> Work positively and collaborate with Global Ethics and Compliance colleagues in areas including anticorruption monitoring, surveillance, and investigations.</li> <li> Provide sound judgment and effectively prioritize competing projects and interests.</li> <li> Be an ethics and compliance advocate within the enterprise and to external stakeholders.</li> </ul> <p></p> <p><b> Basic Qualifications:</b></p> <ul> <li> A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years’ experience</li> <li> Experience in a comparably sized global company, law firm or federal government agency</li> <li> Experience working in an ethics and compliance, international or anticorruption law, or performing compliance investigations</li> <li> Leadership experience or similar managing of projects and/or people</li> <li> Experience and/or formal education in anticorruption laws and regulations</li> <li> U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required</li> </ul> <p></p> <p><b> Preferred Qualifications:</b></p> <ul> <li> Accountability with strong organization and prioritization skills to conduct projects from inception to completion</li> <li> Aerospace/defense industry background</li> <li> Contract and program management experience and knowledge of the U.S. ITAR</li> <li> Compassion and empathy, a collaborator who works well with others</li> <li> Courage and tenacity, capable of constructively withstanding intense internal business pressure</li> <li> Excellent judgment and conveys reason and prudence in oral and written communications</li> <li> Juris Doctor degree</li> </ul> <p></p> <p><b> What We Offer:</b></p> <p></p> <p> Whether you’re just starting out on your career journey or are an experienced professional, we offer a robust total rewards package that goes above and beyond with compensation; healthcare, wellness, retirement, and work/life benefits; career development and recognition programs. An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.</p> <p></p> <p> This position requires either a U.S. Person or Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.</p> <p></p> The salary range for this role is 139,000 USD - 277,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
