BBH's Trust Company Business Management and Operations team focuses on supporting NTC Management and personnel through strategic projects that shape the business, data mining and database management, day-to-day processing, and maintaining information matrices to be used as Trust Company training and resource materials. The Trusts and Estates Associate will be primary support for Private / Specialty Asset, GRAT, and IRA Administration and support the broader team on efforts around projects, operational efficiency, and trouble shooting. The Associate will also assist with coordinating and conducting working group meetings that impact the Trust Company. </div> <div></div> <div> Key responsibilities include: </div> <div></div> <div> Asset Management and Administration </div> <ul> <li> Coordinate day to day administrative activities for private / specialty assets, GRATs, and IRA services.</li> <li> Liaise directly with RA's / RM's on account opening documentation, funds transfer requests, account balances, etc.</li> <li> Serve as a point of contact for all asset-related questions (e.g., valuations, distributions, documentation, process, and procedure.)</li> <li> Assist Trust Officers and Front Office with presentations for client meetings on specific asset information such as activity and performance, where applicable.</li> <li> Input all transaction-oriented items into firm’s accounting systems.</li> <li> Proactively manage the administrative processes tied to the day-to-day management of the office to find ways of improving efficiencies within the office.</li> <li> Assist team members with day-to-day activities when needed/ providing backup.</li> <li> Participate in project work as needed.</li> <li> Prepare client correspondence, including client actionable items.</li> <li> Handle asset transfers including funds transfers and check requests daily.</li> <li> Ensure accuracy when filing client documents and handling client material.</li> <li> Compliance to privacy and confidentiality standards is a must.</li> <li> Maintain client records.</li> </ul> <div></div> <div> Investment Execution </div> <ul> <li> Serve as interface on behalf of Trust Officers, RM's / RA's, and central management teams within BBH.</li> <li> Identify assets that should be rebalanced or repapered in preparation for account reviews, including reviewing asset allocation and making sure guidelines for investing have not changed.</li> <li> Assist with the management of all non-strategic decisions (checks, funds transfers, and gifting etc.)</li> <li> Interact with 3rd party service providers in certain situations.</li> <li> Interface with the Trust Company regarding distributions and terminations.</li> <li> Troubleshoot issues pertaining to Trust Officer / Front Office.</li> </ul> <div></div> <div> Risk Management &amp; Administration </div> <ul> <li> Maintain accuracy of all procedures related to private / special assets, GRATs, IRAs.</li> <li> Initiate all asset maintenance activities, including reviews / approvals, documentation, meeting materials, address or name changes, and performance evaluations.</li> <li> Assist in efforts relating to the completion of client requests.</li> <li> Ensure client account materials are up to date and accurate.</li> <li> Troubleshoot and follow through with administrative processes to resolve client issues.</li> </ul> <div></div> <div> Qualifications: </div> <ul> <li> Bachelor’s degree</li> <li> 0-3 years of relevant work experience</li> <li> Demonstrated academic interest and achievement as evidenced through strong academic credentials and/or extracurricular activities</li> <li> Client service experience and aptitude strongly preferred</li> <li> Strong organizational and analytical skills</li> <li> Strong attention to detail</li> <li> Ability to work effectively in a team environment</li> <li> Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel</li> <li> Prior experience at a financial institution is a plus</li> </ul> <div></div> <div> What We Offer: </div> <ul> <li> Direct access to information and experts across all business areas around the world</li> <li> Opportunities to grow your expertise, take on new challenges, and reinvent yourself—within the Firm</li> <li> A culture of inclusion that values each employee’s unique perspective</li> <li> High-quality benefits program emphasizing good health, financial security, and peace of mind</li> <li> Rewarding work with the flexibility to enjoy personal and family experiences at every career stage</li> <li> Volunteer opportunities to give back to your community and help transform the lives of others</li> </ul> <div></div> We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, genetic information, creed, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other protected status under federal, state or local law. </div></div>
