The attorney would provide legal counsel on a range of transactional matters including: complex procurement and technology contracts, advertising and marketing campaigns, business-to-business partnerships, contracts documenting government grants, retail agent relationships, and more. We are committed to ensuring that our attorneys develop strong relationships with their clients and have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with a variety of business units. </p> <p><b>Principal Responsibilities </b></p> <ul> <li> Draft, review and negotiate contracts in conjunction with our procurement and technology teams.</li> </ul> <ul> <li> Provide thought leadership to internal teams on contract structure and negotiations to create partnerships resulting in positive outcomes with a focus on sales, IoT and telecommunication service agreements that are significant to the organization. </li> </ul> <ul> <li> Manage outside counsel where appropriate, both with respect to strategy, drafting and cost management.</li> </ul> <ul> <li> Advise on marketing law and consumer protection issues, working hand-in-hand with our privacy compliance team.</li> </ul> <ul> <li> Oversee the design, draft and negotiation of complex agreements necessary to meet company strategic initiatives for hardware, software, and cloud sale/license purchases with the company’s most strategic suppliers. </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Identify and provide strategic legal advice on contractual, liability and indemnification risk and compliance issues relating to contract matters, including pragmatic legal and business solutions that promote the best interests of the company. </li> <li>Keep up to date expertise on federal and state regulations governing publicly traded companies within the telecommunications industry, with the support of our specialist teams.</li> <li>Provide leadership and collaborate cross-functionally with a wide variety of specialities within the legal and government affairs department and across business units to support the company’s critical priorities.</li> </ul> <br> <div> <div> Minimum Qualifications </div> </div> <div> <ul> <li>Juris Doctorate Degree from an accredited law school.</li> <li>Licensed within the United States.</li> <li>5+ years of legal experience, with an in-house corporate department or mid-sized law firm.</li> <li>Strong analytical, organizational, and oral and written communication skills.</li> <li>PC skills, including Microsoft Office, LexisNexis or equivalent.</li> <li>2+ years of telecommunications experience is preferred.</li> </ul> </div> <br> JOB : Legal <br> COMPENSATION : $129500 - $204501 / yearly <br> UScellular® is an EEO employer and gives consideration to qualified applicants without regard to race/color/age/religion/sex/sexual orientation/gender identity/national origin/disability/veteran status, pregnancy or genetic information. </div></div>
